Let me stress this: Our gallery is not meant to promote your artwork. It is meant to help artists by providing tutorials, how to's, templates, and resources. It was brought to my attention that artwork that didn't really fit our rules was getting into that folder because I wasn't paying as close attention, so I'm going to just let everyone know exactly what that folder is. This our policy on the folder which is called 'Patient Requests' in the group gallery:

:bulletred: Patient Requests submission:

1. Click the Patient Requests folder.
2. Click "Submit to This Folder."
3. Choose a deviation from your gallery, or submit a new one.
4. Your Patient Request will show as soon as it has been cleared by an admin (this is to prevent abuse, we will approve 1-3 requests per week).

! Please continue to write your Patient Requests with care and attention to detail:

You must include on your submitted deviantion for patient request folder with:
1. Questions you want to ask the people giving critiques:

Example:
How is my anatomy?
How is the overall composition, is it working?
How is the color?

Direct your helper to give you the proper critique to the area you are looking for help with.

2. (Not required but recommended) If you are struggling with something, tell us, so when we give you crit we can let you off on area you are struggling with and help you to find another direction to tackle the problem.

--------------

! Requests with minimal or confusing information will not be cleared.

! Artwork should be submitted with each request. Artwork should be as recent as possible and suitable for all audiences (artistic/instructional nudity is OK).

! If you need mental/personal advice on a situation related to art, project, submit it as a written deviation>Prose>Non-fiction>Letter.

Unfortunately, this is not the place to feature your artwork, this group is here to be a "hospital" for all your needs as far as tips, tricks, tutorials, and all around help.  There are plenty of groups out there to promote you, we're here to help you artistically! I am pleased to say however, that there have been much fewer photography submissions to the stock folders, so thank you for that everyone =)

Thanks for this! Now I know why it didn't work! So if I'll write questions and ask for help( cause I believe I really need some!) in the description, it will be OK?

Yes, as long as you're asking for specific help in the artists comments you can submit the work to patient requests :)

Kudos for that! I've been seeing 'patient artworks' that looked fine in general but there's no comment in the comment box about what they wanted to improve on.

This group is no place to add more faves, views, or pageviews!

(LOL I know this journal is like so late, but I just got my net back after eight weeks of having no net LOL)

I'm confused about how this works. I want help with my artwork. This says I should submit it to the patient requests folder, and also "write a request". Where do I write the request? I submitted things where in the description of the deviation I asked for help, but those were declined. Is there somewhere else I should write asking for help?

In your artist comments dear ^ ^ If the deviation does not follow the criteria exactly it will be declined.

Where is "artist comments"? There is no box I can type in when submitting to the folder, and I don't see anything like that when editing the deviation either.
Am I missing something super obvious? Sorry

The artist comment box on your deviation page. The area just beneath the image where you talk about the image. That's your artist comments box =)

Then I'm really confused, because most of the deviations in the "Patients Requests" folder don't ask for help of any kind in that description box.

Patient requests are being more heavily moderated now because of that. If you've noticed, for the past month or so, patient requests have slowed down because I'm intercepting them. I've also written a blog you may have missed about it:[link] Also, once the person receives the help they need, they may change the image and description of the deviation, that is up to them. All requests must follow these rules. So once again, feel free to submit your request if you are willing to follow the rules.
