So how should we do quality control if we keep the stocks?

Whatever happens, I hope we can keep the stocks gallery, because having a collection of no-strings-attached stock is really, really handy!

I just thought about it last night...

If this is possible, maybe, we could schedule a "stock only update" day so that members or watchers who are not interested in the stocks can just delete the whole dev stack :)

And with this way, we can increase the numbers of stocks who want to see 8D

Other than that...if dA can find a way to, let say, have a 'selected' folder to watch in a group, then that would be nice too...

I second this as a nice balance of no stock photos vs having stock photos. Now that DeviantArt stacks the alerts, you can delete them for that day without worrying about missing a tutorial... or did I totally miss germy-raven's point?

YES!
That's how it would work if this gets implemented ^^

Thanks~

It's the responsibility of the person using stock to pay attention to the rules. Read the artists' comments, which should always have the stock provider's/model's rules, or have a link to their rules.

Maybe will try with a max per day to upload by person, and then some volunteer may check the images.

The problem with stock is you really need a lot of it to be of any use, and if you aren't looking for stock, it tends to clutter your inbox. I watch for the tutorials, and while having a the stock resources available is nice, I'm not sure it is worth the cluttered inbox.

If I don't misunderstand something badly, opening voting for all members will make the inbox cluttering way worse, because ALL stock submitted will end up in all members' inboxes first for them to decide if the quality is good enough. The images which get accepted will then show up in the devwatch afterwards, too.

good point. Further consideration needs to take place.
